Not matrix---this has been done, have someone solve a problem, and have someone else 鈥榮ee鈥?it, implications?

scientists...say in caltech, cuz they are doing experiments in neural modelling...invent a device that connects to your brain, and you can 'see' how others solve problems...say math geniuses solve math problems, rubics geniuses solve the rubics cube...and you instantly 'seeing' HOW really they do it....thus learning instantly... If things like going to the office become only through virtual worlds...where you go to office virtually and then 'wake' up in your home--if you could get food sensations (and just eat a pill) and sex-yeia, and thrill rides....through 'neural injections' ? (there is a study in caltech that explains how a computer sends to the remote 'human' sensor, information of an object...say, a baseball moving in the air...and the person can not only 'feel' the object with touch....but 'sense' its motion...kind of like telepathically 'sensing' the object) How would this have implications for mankind? The economy? Goverment? The life process? reproduction?food?

strange days...addresses 'video recordings of the mind' of a pathetic loser who reviews them because he is stuck in the past..

This technology, would be a lot better than 'video recordings'..
you would interact in them...like real life..in this respect it is like the matrix..

but if someone wanted to show you how to do something...they would not 'tell' you...they would 'show' you...in every sense of the word..

as they did it, you would see what they were thinking, and understand how to do it instantly...

So, I guess you would ahve the 'option'...in my conception...of giving or not. But, yes, as far as empathy, I think it would be a lot better. I didn't think of the empathy part in a battle scene. But it would be quite hard to 'neurally' hook up with your enemy.

I think it would just naturally evolve to a 'understanding' that we are all human...so the enemy, being less ignorant, would not view us so 'enemy-like' making fighting not as likely as today.

Iam reminded of the outer limits episode where this eventuality had happened. In this future the majority of the populace had forgotten had to read, write or even communicate socially.

Since humans are creatures of habit and essentially lazy (lets face it, we are) this would probably be not far from the truth. It would probably be a very dangerous future since as a species, we are very much still animals. Having technology where we can gain any information that we desire, will probably lead to people misusing the technology, and harming others in the process.

However the scientist in me says that it would be great to be able to download information strait from the 'net' to your brain. It would finally bring about the age of reason that this planet has not seen since the Renaissance. Hope this helps.

How can one see, if matrix is not.

The movie Strange Days addresses this sort of technology.

I think the implications for mankind of knowing the mind of every other human being would be an end to war, hate, racism, lies... If a machine could reveal the "human-ness" of the person standing in front of you, you could no longer veiw them as a "thing" and treat them as less than you.
