I do Avon and Tupperware. Avon is great, but it does require lots of recruiting for customers and the books get kinda expensive since you have to buy the every 2 weeks. Start up is $10 and there is no minimum to sell.
Tupperware is AWESOME in my opinion. I earn an average of $1000 per month by holding 2 parties each week (about 5-6 hours per week). I could work more, but I have a 1 month old so that isn't feesable right now. The start up fee is $69 or $99 for the big kit. You have to sell $300 every 4 months to stay a consultant (1 average party is around $400 in sales). I also like that they give you incentives (free product, cash, trips, car allowance!)
