Can I run a VMWare virtual machine at home?

I have VMWare in my office and want to run a virtual machine that I can connect to via my cable modem at home. Is the network bandwidth over cable modem good enough to do this?

It should be depends on the data amount you are sending through for example hd video no way but I don't see a problem with anything else.........microsoft also just released there virtual pc software for free www.microsoft.com/virtualpc/ that might make it easier to connect from home

It depends on what you are doing. If you are playing a game or something that repaints the screen often no. But things like general office applications should be fine.

Also see if you can use the remote desktop program or VNC as other options.
