I am 17years old....Can I start a Virtual Assistance business? or do I have to be 18 and licensed?

I am really good with computers, typing, filing, and I have my driving license...and I have the needed supplies and funds...so can I start a virtual assistant business?

That is a very good question!

It sounds like you have all the skills and determination necessary to make a go of it. However, being a virtual assistant (VA) means that you would operate as a small business owner, probably as a sole proprietor. Therefore, you must be legally able to enter in to contracts.

My suggestion would be to start the planning phase now. I have written an e-book entitled, "How to Become a Successful Virtual Assistant," which outlines how to start, successfully operate and grow a virtual assistant business from home or anywhere. This was one of the first e-books of its kind and has sold hundreds of copies and helped countless hopefuls (like you) start their own micro business in the Virtual Assistant Industry.

You may also wish to consider an "emerging" membership with the International Virtual Assistants Association (www.ivaa.org), which is the only non-profit organization dedicated to professional education and development of members of the Virtual Assistance profession, and to educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant.

To find out even more about the VA industry, do a Yahoo search using keywords "virtual assistant". You'll be amazed at the volume of information available to persons seeking a profession as a VA.
