Is anyone actually using virtual reality for entertainment?

Even 20 years ago people were talking about how virtual reality could revolutionize the entertainment business. Nothing much seems to have happened since then. I am curious to know whether people have access to virtual reality kits and whether they are any good ?

Yes they are using it. The army uses virtual reality for situation practice.

And also pilots use it for training.

And of course, virtual reality is popular in the sex entertainment industry
