Does anyone know of any business networking opportunities in the Washington DC area? |
I own a new small business support service company and am looking for places to meet other small business owners. I am a mobile virtual assistant and looking for ways to get the word out about the services I offer. Join local networking groups. It is the best bang for your buck. I really like the BNI (business networking international) check out their website. The DC area is full of people just like you! The best way to get your name out is to get out there and introduce yourself. Share your business card, talk to other owners, managers, staff. Tell them what you're about and follow up later on with a phone call, "It was really nice meeting you...I'd like to keep in touch!". Yes I do. I am an Independent Marketing Rep for 5Linx which is a direct marketing company based in Rochester, New York. It is focused on the telecommunication products including Voice over IP, mobile phones, Internet, etc. There are a lot of people in my organization who are in the MD & DC area.
