Is anyone a virtual assistant? If so how did you get started?

I have been a VA for close to a year now. I found this woman from MI and it has been the best time investment I've ever made.

I started working at home for my boss at a large company. I worked at home 2 days a week and it worked and my boss thought it was effective. AsI worked, using the internet so much, you just learn to network more. I finally found a full time virtual assistant position that I was very happy with. I worked doing that for 2 years and had a number of clients - and it was excellent.

I'm retired from that now, but it's nice to know if I need to go back to work at some point, I know there is something I can do.

you might want to try searching job websites. it would probably be harder to be a virtual assistant anyway cuz anyone that needed an assistant would probably want one that was available more, dont you think?

I am a Virtual Assistant. I started by researching the industry and talking to others who were VAs. Now, I have been in business for several years and it has been a phenomenal experience.

If you are thinking about starting a Virtual Assistant business, the following may be helpful:
-Get a website. LuckyRegister.com is very economical and they have great customer service.
-Be willing to spend the time it takes to get your business up and running. Don't get discouraged early on. Realize that all the time you put into your business is an investment, too.
-Get to know other VAs. They can help guide you with their experience.
