Another "too many kids on YA" supplication...? |
I just read an article about Yahoo Answers being a "free virtual assistant". This might be quite true if there were seperate areas for adult questions and childrens questions, but as it stand now, there are so many kids questions coming in, that when an adult question is asked, it is quickly pushed out of the view of other adults by childrens questions. Once a question is pushed out of view, there is not much chance that it will be answered later. Also, when I am searching for a legitimate question to answer, I have to go through pages and pages (and "repeating" pages) of childrens questions before I can find a legitimate adult question. I have no problem with children looking for answers, but I feel they should be in a separate area. I'm afraid Yahoo Answers' potential is loosing much because of this and I'm afraid for its future. Anybody else feel this way? (Sorry for any mispelled words - no spell check in details) Yea, I would agree that there should be separation, just don't know how it might be done. Agreed, too many kids and too many posers. I remember seeing some kid pretending she was a doctor. Ha! You could tell she hadn't even graduated high school. |
