Who would hire a virtual assistant vs a part time secretary?

As an experienced Virtual Assistant myself, I can tell you that the market for Virtual Assistants is phenomenal. There are so many small business owners and professionals who realize the need to spend more of their time doing what they do best and less of it doing administrative chores that can easily be outsourced.

My clients have been attorneys, accountants, recruiters, real estate professionals, radio talk show hosts- just to name a few.
In fact, some VAs become so busy that they have to hire their own VA!

A good Virtual Assistant takes their client's business as seriously as their own. They truly partner with the client to help them build and grow thier business in ways they wouldn't otherwise be able to accomplish without a VA.

That being said, there are many Virtual Assistants out there, and it is important to find one that is reputable. It is important to thoroughly interview your potential VA just as you would a CPA or an attorney that you wish to hire. A good VA will be happy to provide references and should have a strong sense of ethics and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
