I need a virtual address. Suggestions? |
I live in D.C., but I'm looking to move to Atlanta, so I'm in job search mode. I know many employers poo poo out of state candidates, so I need to find a way to secure an out of state address to put on my resume. A simpler solution might be to not list a mailing address at all. Most companies handle everything via email and telephone now, so it shouldn't be a problem. I was going to suggest MailStores etc. but if you can't do it without being there personally, then I would suggest to drive down on a Sunday, take care of establishing a PO or mail box at a store including all the forwarding to your present address on Monday morning, pick up all of the local Sunday papers, and head back home on Monday afternoon. If you are working/living in DC you only loose one workday that way, and you can have your mail forwarded to home... While you are there - you might want to drop off a few prepared resumes at jobs of interest. Might as well since you there already... |
