What is a good birthday present/valentines day gift to send a virtual friend?

I don't have his home address and don't want to make it obvious by asking for it, but I'd like to give him something for his birthday/ valentines day (which are close).

And ideas?

P.S. He doesn't use itunes.

To sum up, electronic photo, an e-card, or a gift voucher that can be announced and delivered by email, and can be used in his country are all nice ideas.
The greatest pressure is not knowing what he really likes, and feeling like it must be a complete surprise.
If you can bring yourself to tell him you want to get him a gift, and ask for suggestions, you will have a far greater chance of a spot on!

Amazon and netflix do gift certificates to a person's email address. That might work.

Food...many online options, with gift certificates that won't require that you have his home address.
