Why does my PC keep saying virtual memory too low and that it is increasing it?

Whilst it is increasing the memory I cannot type anything. Also I am finding it will not let me type in web addresses so don't know if this is a separate issue or not? Any help gratefully received.

try checking virtual memory , my computer/ advanced/ performance/ advanced/ virtual memory, change: (should be 300~600+ to 1000mb) ,check free hard drive space, run scan disk error checker, then run defragmenter and analyze , if red then defrag , if very little white free space left, then that may be cause of error, there are also some background programs that cause virtual memory error, try disabling some that are not always in use, then run spyware scan and virus scan in safe mode if needed,

you have too much junk open at the same time for your ram to handle

Virtual Memory is being used because your RAM is insufficient So the computer i using some hard disk space as virtual RAM. When, it is being increased, the computer will move some dATA and use that space for memory. My reccomendation: Get more RAM!!

empty your cookies.
Run a virus scan.
Dont open more than 3 or 4 windows

I'm not exactly an expert but I do know that some issues with low memory invove how many and what you have running in your processes. Of all the stuff that runs on startup, continually run while your computer is on. If you have xp, you can right click inside your taskbar and click task manager and see. If I were you I'd go to www.neuber.com and download securitytaskmanager. and see what all is running. Its a great tool, it will tell you whats dangerous and whats innocent. If you have a virus it will take up alot of memory, but also your antivirus can too. Shut down and restart will start the whole memory process over, so thats a temporary fix so you can go to a website.

You need to install more ram by the sound of it

you are running some memory hungry programs or services
hold down ctrl,alt and delete altogether ,click on processes tab and sort by memory usage.
look at what is eating your memory and kill it![unless its something that you are currently using of course!
how much ram do you have installed?if its less than 512 then you need an urgent upgrade less than a gig then an upgrade will help more than a gig and there must be something wrong with your PC!

It's just a download problem. You are downloading to much at once to favourites or whatever.

Best way to keep contact with a given website is to open up a spread sheet and creat addresses in there. Left hand column, name of website etc next column the actual website address - http://www etc.

You don't need to keep the home page of a website, just the connection as above. Click on it and it will connect you back to the website.

The above method, tried and tested by me, saves a lot of hard drive space for other junk.

because you probebly need a new p.c love..!

Try uninstalling some things you don't use on your system to free up your memory, if this doesn't help upgrade your system with more memory.
