Spouse Immigrant Visa interview? Can they refuse me? |
I'm so stressed. I'm married to an American Citizen for 1.5 years, living together for 2.5 years, knowing each other for 12 years, and we have a 10 month old baby together. He moved to England to live with me 2.5 years ago. Our paperwork is finished, case is closed, done all the medical examination stuff, interview scheduled for next month. I'm very scared. Can they refuse me? We married overseas in the registry office, totally legal, but we didn't have a wedding party, at least not yet. He is the sole sponsor. First they sent a letter to us missing domicile documents, then after explaining, they realized that he hasn't given up his domicile in USA, as he has a temporary residence in England, and has been filing his tax from overseas. They accepted and closed the case. I'm very scared though, how possible is it that it's being refused? If they have closed the case...the interview is just to see if you are who you say you are....... If they had questions, the case would still be open...... you should consult an immigration lawyer. im in the same exact situation. Except im still trying to marry my partner and dont really know how to go about it. Im from California and my fiance is from London. I moved to England to be near him, i'll bring him back with me eventually within the next couple years. How did you get married? Did you need to fill out a certificate of approval? |
