Constant neck pain! PLZ HELP!!!? |
it's been about 5years since the back of my neck started to feel really stiff and soar. I've been to chiropractors' office but they seem to give me temporary relief rather than a perment treatment. When I put my head back my neck feels really soar and stiff almost like I have a steel plate in my neck. The doctors say that it's just posture and sleeping position, but the pain has been with me so long that I think there might be something else wrong. What can I do??? I am 23 years old See an orthopedic surgeon and have the x-ray and M R I done. He will be able to advise you on the next step. The only way to permanently relieve the pain is to get surgery. I have a cervical spine injury and I have felt the symptoms you stated. I started with a chiropractor treating me for 6 months and then I ended up getting 2 cervical spine operation, bone graft and fusion. has your chiropractor or md taken xrays or done and mri? You could have arthritis in your neck like I do. I also have herniated discs in my neck so I visit my chiropracter every 6-8 weeks to keep in line, but I do not recommend surgery unless it is a very last resort. Your sleep position can play a factor too, I sleep on a special pillow and no longer sleep on my tummy like I did for years. |
