My Boss hired me as temporary but I know she needs someone longterm, how do I tell her that I want to stay?

I just got hired at a Law Office, my boss said she only needs temporary help, but she really needs someone permenent because she is way behind and really busy with clients. How do I tell her that I want to stay permenent and that I know I will be a good asset?

You have to consider that the office might not have the resource to hire you permanently. Your boss might not be able to afford having you if you are a permanent staff (she might not be able to pay you insurance, retirement plan and bonuses!). Perhaps that's why you are being hired on a temporary basis.

I think you should just do the best you can on your job. If the money comes around, I'm sure that your boss would make you a permanent staff. If the money doesn't come around, you will have the experience to move onto another job.

Do a GOOD job to PROVE your an asset to his firm, then confront him with long term employment.

Go into her office and say " If you ever consider hiring someone long term, would you consider me? I'd love to stay here"

鈾?How long ago did you start? Did she say she needed the long term permanent help or was it just implied??

鈾?If you've been there for even a few weeks, simply show here that you are cutoff for the position if it were to arise. If she mentions that she needs a permanent individual step up to the plate and tell her that you'd like to speak to her about the position. :-) Good Luck!

Work hard and have experience as much as you can in short time, then search for work in other places and once you will have a good offer from other office, ask your Boss to choose either you stat as permanent or leave the office.

Work really hard and show your good points. If you feel awkward to speak to her, why don't you write a letter of intent, just like a regular applicant. It only shows that you are serious and professional. If she speaks to you about this, express how you really want it and deserve it.
