Is there any way to stick a temporary tooth back in for a few days while the dentists office is closed?

I'm waiting for my new one to be made.

toothpaste (preferably all white toothpaste) is a good temporary fix. make sure your tooth is clean and dry. put a little bit of the toothpaste in the temporary crown and place onto your tooth, making sure you press firmly so that any excess paste will squeeze out. clean the excess paste off. do not eat or drink for about 15-20 min so the paste can dry/set. this remedy can last up to 3 days as long as you stay away from sticky foods and try to chew on the opposite side.
I have found from patients that the stuff you can buy at the drug store lasts just about as long...but this way it doesn't cost you anything and it's safer for you if you happen to swallow some of the toothpaste. hope this helps :)

why would you need a temporary tooth? what happend to your other one? if you lost it they cant put it back in. theyd have to fit you with a fake one.

I'm assuming you mean temporary crown? If so, go to the drug store and get some den-temp or ask the pharmacist for temporary dental cement. Clean as much cement out of the temp. as you can, coat ONLY the margins ]edge] of the temp. with the cement, and insert the crown. Bite on a wash cloth to make sure it goes to place.......remove the wash cloth and test the bite before the cement hardens. If you can't get any temporary dental cement you can use some denture adhesive but it won't hold as well. Good luck!
