Temporary Job Agencies lure you in, but then don't even help you...what do they gain?

What's the deal with these people. I've signed with 3, and i keep callign them for about 3 months now.. every week, sommetimes even more than 1 day a week, and they don't give me no assignments. But sure, at first they are like "We're great come and join us...AND they even encourage me to join seeing my Resume which is not very impressive. I just have basic office skills and not much experience.

I haven't been helped by any agency in 3 or 4 months and i keep asking them all if they have job assignements. Their reply is a simple "No nothing now". Everytime it's the same thing, and they dont' even check or anything. They say it immediately after i ask them, they don't take the time to browse the job listing they may have.

Any advice?

They benefit by telling clients that they have a pool of x number employees, even if those employees aren't going to work.

You are doing the right thing by calling them. But call more. Call them everyday and tell them you are available.
