How to get stains out office carpet?

Hello, I recently got put in charge of cleaning our office carpet when person didn't show and rental had to be returned. Anyway, I think i did well til i came in and strains seemed worse. Overall the carpet was bettter but the stain spots are more defined now. I have temporary forgot the term for what vacuum i used it used a gallon of water with each tablespoon power. Co worker say I didn't suck up the water enough, but I don't think so. My main question is there another way to clean these carpets that is maybe more spot focased.

First of all it is helpful to find out exactly what the stain is. Carpets get cleaner when cleaned only with hot water from the tap...no soap! Soap attracts dirt and the carpet will do just that and it will be dirty sooner. Renuzit makes a two chamber carpet cleaner product and it did well for me on one tough stain.
If you have one of those microfiber miracle cleaning cloths it will help to remove the dirt and old soap...do you have a machine to wash the carpet again and get the soap and water out? By hand this will be quite a job, but the microfiber cleaning cloth will make it easier.

Resolve carpet cleaner.Spray on and let sit and vacuum.Follow directions,my daughter uses it for her children's stains.
