I am undecided on what I want my career to be.?

I am so stuck. Everyone I know has a goal which they want to do. I have no idea and I need to start making up my mind to take the proper classes for the future. I am intersted in business type work. I am very organized and love making appointments and things of that nature. In the near future, I would like to work as a secretary for a doctors' office. That is not what I want to do, just a temporary job.

But, that is the type of work I like to do. I like paper work and organization (sounds wierd I know)

Any Ideas?

PS. I'd like to open my own business of something too, maybe. So just think of anything and I'll see. [=

Have you ever thought about becoming a librarian or archivist? Both jobs require a lot of organization, filing, and database work.

A librarian position requires a master's degree, but there are always open volunteer and assistant positions that you can try out before committing to a career.

Another job that you might like might be an executive assistant--this requires more intense service than just paperwork, but you may find that it's right up your alley.

You might like working at a "Home Health Center."
They have tons of paper work and scheduling medical appointments in private homes, for visiting nurses.
Clerical work does not require a nurse's license.
They pay for your college courses - if you want to advance. Report It

I have a degree and I am still in the same boat. This is what I am doing- I am doing a lot of research, reading, journaling, and taking my time. I think you should do the same and I would just take a few classes that just interest you. You could always use them for the elective credits.

if your still in high school, your still young, and you still have plenty of time. make sure you go to college and get a degree. once you start college, you don't have to decide on your major, you can take general education requirement classes and see if you like a particular subject. business degree might be something you might like, take a business class at your neighborhood college and see if it's for you.

i also suggest classes in psychology, sociology, economics, political science, chemistry, math, and so on because you might have talent in one of these fields that you never knew you had.

talk to counselors, your parents, teachers, and college recruiteres, college counselors, and aim high.

Well, if you're good at math you could be an architect or an accountant, which my mom says is fun. If you're got at science be a scientist and try to find something that interests you. If you're good at reading or language arts you can be anything. Remember it has to be something you like and you're good at. It is not that easy trying to pick a job.
