What is the origin of this Obama chain letter?

I have seen this cut and pasted on here literally more than 20 times since last nights caucus victory - who do you think put it out?

In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta . Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States , Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's Presidential candidacy. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out. What better way to start than at the highest level---through the President of the United States , one of their own!!!! ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into his current office - he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalent to our Bible, but very different beliefs)

I found it under www.freepublic.com, dated way back on January 17, 2007 - where they labeled him a "probable candidate". I googled "madrasas Jakarta" and it was the second thing on the list. There is some discussion about it as well. I cached it rather than going directly to the site. Hope this helps.

I don't know what the origin is. I just ignore it when I see it, and note whoever posted it as someone whose word I should definitely not accept at face value.

Sounds like it was written by Ann Coulter and distributed by one of Hillary's loyal staffers--but she won't admit to knowing anything about it when someone objects to it...

Seriously, you've done all this work, and you don't even know where it came from or if any of it or how much of it is true? You need to do some reading on your own. I recommend THE AUDACITY OF HOPE by Barack Obama. He will tell you his life story if you are really interested.

I have no idea, but it's disgusting, my guess is it's from the neocons, it's a typical Atwater-Rove style smear tactic. The neocons have no shame at all.

Oh I've seen it on MSNBC Blog as well !!!!! The people on there responded to the poster by asking him/her to educate him/her self...I have grown tired of seeing it though

Whoever wrote it, they're very inaccurate when it comes to telling the truth.

Regardless, even if Obama was Muslim, I would have no problem voting for him. I vote based on what a person does, not what they say their faith is and so far Obama's actions speak loud. I mean, Bush is supposedly a "Christian" and look at what he's done to America. There's nothing more that Obama can possibly do to **** the US over more than Bush has.
