My Sore Throat? |
I have areally sore throat and haven't been at school for three days including today and need to get back to catch up. I went to the doctor's office and he reccomended a liquid that I got at the drug store and it's supposed to numb my throat after I gargle with it but it hasn't worked. I am really hungry right now and can't even drink water. My tonsils are the size of golf balls and my uevula (that thing between you tonsils that dangles at the back of your throat) is twice as big as it should be. I need reccomendations for temporary and long-term remedies and things to eat. Help! My doctor did do a strep throat test but I have never gotten the results back it has been more than three days. I have tried the salt in warm water trick, it works but not well enough for me to be able to drink anything. It sounds like some kind of inflammation - your doctor should be able to tell you if it is allergenic or viral. Your doctor might be treating the symptoms for now. If it's viral you pretty much need for it to run its course. go get slippery elm in powder or pills. powder is better. it is available at any good health food store. Did your doctor do a strep test? |
