America's Most HATED Religious Leader - You Decide?

(1) Jesse Jackson - Who famously argued for the pro-life movement that "There are those who argue that the right to privacy is of [a] higher order than the right to life ... that was the premise of slavery" and that he was "sick and tired of hearing about the holocaust."

(2) Fred Phelps - The disbarred lawyer who takes his 60 member congregation to the funerals of US soldiers to protest. His church sponsors a website called "god hates America dot com" and another one called "god hates faags(sp) dot com".

(3) Al Sharpton - Who is most recently known for battling the nomination of Mormon candidate Mitt Romney by saying ""As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation." It is important to note that Blacks are still not accepted into the majority of Mormon churches and were only "officially" accepted in 1978. Sharpton also took part in rallying the Duke Rape Case which proved

to be false allegations.

4) Jerry Falwell - Who spoke out against Martin Luther King by saying that "The facilities should be separate. When God has drawn a line of distinction, we should not attempt to cross that line." He had a long history of claiming that God favored white, straight people over gay or black ones. On another occasion he blamed the "wrath" of Hurricane Katrina on "gay sin in America". He coined the phrase "The Civil Wrongs Movement".

Probably the one who most embarrasses other Americans is FRED PHELPS. He is so far out of the mainstream and seems like a one-trick pony, so I imagine his message is neither heard nor respected.

Jesse Jackson...I am Christian and I cannot even stand that guy.

Ugh I can't stand any of them...they're all hypocrites and think they're all self-righteous when in reality, they are making the real Christians look like intolerant bigots.

Jackson and Sharpton ONLY worship the camera--nothing else. They should not be taken seriously.

Fred Phelps! He protested at my friend's dads funeral after he died serving in Iraq! How could somebody do that?????

They're all hypocrites but why not mention a few of Bush's attack dogs of the far right like James Dobson who claim to have a direct line to God and therefor presume to know what is right for you and for me.

What do you mean, blacks are still not accepted into the majority of Mormon churches? They are supposed to be accepted everywhere. If they are not, they should report that ward to Salt Lake.

That Phelps guy is at the top of my list. He is completely repugnant and gives the Christian Faith a bad name.
