Why do we struggle to wards acquiring more wealth,not that there is anything wrong with it.?

As I was driving home from the office, I saw a minivan proudly displaying a bumper sticker that read: 鈥淢oney Talks: Mine Says Goodbye.鈥?I think a lot of people can relate to that sentiment.

Much of our living is spent acquiring and using money, which doesn鈥檛 last. The stock market crashes. Prices go up. Thieves steal others鈥?goods. Things wear out and break down, requiring the acquisition and expenditure of more money to replace what has been lost. The temporary nature of material wealth makes it a poor bargain in the search for security in an insecure world. Money is much better at saying goodbye than it is at sticking around.Any opinion guys and gals???

Consumerism and public relations are successful.

I think it's very important to have enough money so that you don't have to worry about it.

It makes that part of your life a lot easier.

it is true that people pay to much attention to money, no pun intended. apparently upper-middle-class people aren't any less happy than upper class people. but they keep trying to get richer anyway, because the media sends out the message that they'd b happier if they were richer because if we didn't believe that, people would quit their jobs and the economy would falter. and, no, the media is not tricking us, we just believe what works well for our economies rather than our individual selves.

If you manage your $$ well, you have less of a chance of living on a park bench or eating cat food when you are old. although there are never any gaurantees . . .

Some people become consumed with the desire for wealth and lose sight of everything that has any real value. It cannot be a happy way to live, always worrying about your money, if you will lose, how you can get more. It sounds to me like any empty existence and a wasted life.

Because life is soooooooooo easy and fun with money. Of course life doesn't need that money to be fun but sooooo many people now a days believe only money buys happiness.

Money does NOT buy happiness it only amplifies what is already going on in your life. If you are happy it will make you even happier.. If you a negative grump then that too will be even more so with the onset of money.

The crashes of the market are the money makers!! That is the time you want to jump in and buy buy buy !! Far too many people can't get that in their head.

I am a hoarder... Most of my money stays with me, I don't struggle. I choose NOT to struggle!!! I also focus on buying things that will make me more money rather than spend it on crap that costs me more money. A big difference right there!

The truth is that we hear a lot of negative talk about the acquisition of wealth and nothing positive. A lot of very rich people acquire wealth and happiness because they respect money but are no longer attached to it. In other words, they see money as something dynamic that should be used to further their purpose. The fact that money flows back to them in abundance is just the operation of cause and effect. The money itself is not what makes them happy - it's achievement of purpose.

Believe it or not when you live by certain financial principles you can't help but acquire wealth. It's just that we are never told about paying yourself first or using income from assets to purchase liabilities. You can either use your money wisely or be ignorant of its operation. Ignorance of a lot of things can lead to unhappiness regardless of your financial situation.
