Is there any automated telephone answering system worse than UPS?

I just got off the phone with a user agent with UPS, after trying to use their voice recognition based customer service program.

It was bar none, the worst experience with one of these telephone bots I have ever experienced. Almost never a functional response or offering, you have to cuss or insult the machine three times before it will connect you with a user agent, and Operator, help me please and a wide variety of other phrases are totally ignored. UPS has lost my business until they can find some way to solve this problem.
My question is, has anyone seen or heard of anything else as bad? To try the system out dial: 1-800-833-9943

The DMV! Or any other automated system that won't allow you to simply opt-out to an operator by pressing "0".

Verizon's & Time Warner is pretty bad also. What makes it bad is even if you try to be a good sport and enter your account number and try to navigate their retarded system, once you can't find what your looking for and finally get an operator, you have to give your account number again! All they have to do is spring a little extra cash for a recognition system that will carry over your "automated" entries to the representative so when they get the call, they get all the information you enterred up to that point.

yes, having experience making a lot of calls at work to request info, the list would be endless if i gave it to you, but i have to say ... UPS was not my worst experience. there are much worse automated systems, and even live people for some companies. ;)
