Old Telephone Directories , UK?

I need to establish address/es of my late uncle,In Lincolnshire ,England
He lived in Lincolnshire from about 1968 until about 1980.
Old telephone directories would provide the answer/s but who would have them .?
The people at Lincolnshire Archives say they have no old telephone directories or any sources that would help me.

We used to have a book called the Might's Directory. It listed all of the residents of our city (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) as well as their addresses, occupations, phone numbers. Each of these details were cross-listed. Check to see if this product was made in UK during that period.

Now that we have the internet, we have no need for these directories, unless we wanted to search historical data, like you are doing. Good luck!

Try inquiring about tax records for that period in Lincolnshire. He's almost bound to be listed and it should list his address.
