10 points!!!!*****TELEPHONE JOB INTERVIEW*****?

I will give 10 pts. to the person that could help me answer these question quick, and if I use your answer or a liking of your answer...I have a telephone job interview in 30 minutes and here are the question a friend said they asked her yestarday....

Why would you like to work for XYZ Company?

After reviewing the XYZ Company website, what aspect of our organization interests you?

What unique contributions would you make to our organization?

Why are you leaving (did you leave) your current (former)employer?

What is your current salary? Desired salary?

*******PLEASE...I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP********

Please don't get me wrong...I was in a hurry and I should have explained that I wanted to help with those question to give me an idea of what to say I tend to get nervouse during interviews and yes telephone interviews also and I forget what to say. But since my good friend told me what they asked her then I feel that I have a chance to get my thoughts together......thanks to everyone that helped!

Why would you like to work there, honestly answer it from your heart, because I really think it's a field I'd love to be in (and speak honestly) only you can reply.

Seriously again not seeing the web site just embellish your own words. What does interest you - it is something you'd thrive at and enjoy doing.

Well are you friendly, a people person who likes to be a team player? Reliable. Dependable - trustworthy.. always wiling to want to learn more.

Well are you unhappy with your job? You can only reply to that question.

You are always open to negotiation what is it you expect to make - never (when it comes down to the offer) be afraid to ask - but today is not that time.
Answer with what you think the job is paying.

Relax, be yourself, honest, embellish and sound responsible.

I'm sorry but I don't think anyone can answer those questions for you. You have to just be honest and say why you want to work for this company, what contributions you could make, etc. You will find out things about the company on their website, so just honestly say what interests you about it. No one knows why you left your other job and what your salary is or was except for you. Just be honest, be yourself, and relax! You'll be o.k.

I feel that my abilities will be best suited with your company. I have many of the skills that would be beneficial to this company such as.....

Your company has a unique way of.... (or) I found your website to be interesting because of....

As a part of your company I will be able to use my vast knowledge of....

I am choosing to leave my current employer to better myself and gain more skills and knowledge in a different field.

Currently I am being paid.... (always aim a little high when asking for a salary... they will either say okay or give you something lower and you negotiate something in the middle)

I just had 6 interviews this week and have gotten hired at all places... now i have to pick one... good luck

Knowing nothing about the company, I can't help with some of these, but:

Why are you leaving? Your talents didn't fit the position at the current/former company; you wanted more responsibility and an opportunity to use your skills in a position where you and the company could grow together.

Desired salary -- don't name a number unless they literally put a gun to your head! Tell them you'd be happy to discuss salary once you and the company make a mutual decision that this is the right position for you and them. Your current salary is enough to meet your basic needs, but not appropriate for someone of your skills and responsibilities.

You want to work for them because you can help them do (whatever they do) better and more efficiently because your skills perfectly match what they are looking for. What interests you about them is their commitment to (whatever they push on their website) which is exactlly what you can help them do because . . . (and similar answer for the "unique contributions" one.)

Good luck!

Cool.you got ten points *****!

Its a company I feel will give me the opportunity to advance as I further my career
Dont know about the company so you are on your own on that one
A strong will to learn and very much a team player. I am always willing to go the extra mile if needed.
It was a good company to work for but there were no opportunities for me to advance. I am looking for a career.
You can lie accordinly about pay. But always leave it open knowing a company usually has a starting rate and a raise scale process in place. Most times the one interviewing has no control over pay.And If it is a good job maybe a little les money to start isnt so bad.

What is your current salary? Desired salary?
Be honest and tell them. If your desired is more than you are currently earning tell them that you love your job and that you feel you deserve more than you are currently earning and if you have had any further training or improvements on your specific job let them know: i.e. I feel I deserve more than I am currently earning. I am hard working and in the last six months I have improved my qualifications by attending (workshop, training) to improve and I also was able to get certificate(s) in this regard and that is why I am asking for this kind of salary. Remember my friend if you get peanuts when you start a job, you will live with that for a long while. If they like what you present to them, they will take you on. Good luck with the rest of your questions.

PS: Why are you leaving? I am leaving because I feel there is no more room for me to grow in my current firm.

1. because i hate working for UVW company.
2. Your vacation and sick leave policy.
3. I can sleep and nod my head at the same time.
4. Because they did not appreciate my personal work habits.
5. Oh, let's say about $2800 a week.

These are questions that only you can answer.

If i were you i would be looking at company's "xyz" page right now.

Did you not know that you were having a phone interview before now?

Good Luck!
