How do I set up an Answering Service?

I want provide a answering service for Business owners that are on vacation and provide their clients telephone numbers and/or connect the clients to an employee on call with the business.

It sounds like what you want is to have those calls forwarded to your number(s) and then you take care of them. That is definitely possible. Many organizations do that actually. The company I used to work for rolled over all the calls after 5pm to an answering service like yours. What is important is that you get a phone service that is cost effective when handling those kind of calls. A service that charges you a low fixed cost for unlimited calls is what you really need. I recommend a Voice over IP solution. see www.globalinx.com

I can help you sign up for this kind of service if you are interested

Have a look at the Virtual Assistants Society for a guide on setting this up.

Hope that helps
