Re: how to remove the charge built up in my cordless telephone batteries? |
The answers given thus far will not work [leaving the telephone on for an extended period of time]. This is a Panasonic Gigarange Extreme and leaving the telephone in the "on" position results in the phone automatically shutting off. Help!!!!!!! I need another solution to getting these batteries free of all that built up charge. "All that built up charge"??? When you charge a battery, they tend to hold that charge till you drain them. What do you plan to do with a dead one? What ever, just remove the battery, and if nothing else, "short" a light bulb (two wires on it) across the battery terminals. The bulb will light and become a variable resistance across the battery, discharging it in a controlled fashion. Unplug the Base from electric power, leave phone turned on, So why not just talk till its dead? Better yet keep it in your car that way no one else can put it back on the base either. |
