Why do telephone sales people not take no for an answer?

I got a call yesterday and i said no i am not interested 3 or 4 times and they still banged on about whatever it was they were selling,in the end end i said ''Oh shutup i am too tired and i have the turtles head'' I then put the phone down.Do they annoy you?

This loan company keeps calling my partner, day and night,home phone, mobile, email....they just dont leave him alone. So when this 0870 number called the other day, I answered and said 'No, you cannot speak to Mr. Clark. You're doing our bloody heads in, keep ringing us at all hours, how bloody stupid are you???? We're not interested!!!!!!!! Now F Off and dont call us again!!!!'

Because they work on commission and the companies teach them to be a tad forceful.

Yes they are annoying but remember that they are only doing their job so try not to be mean. Failing that just hang up.

Just keep on repeating the word 'B.utt plug' to evey question they ask. F**king annoys the hell out of them.

Yes. Go all doddery and tell them you are 93. I now just replace the phone whilst they are yattering on as they are too rude to listen to you. Or say What's your number and I will call you back with an order. Usually stuns them for a second or two.

they get paid to be annoying. turn the tables on the next cold caller by asking them loads of questions back. its great when they put the phone down on you!

The word "no" isn't in their script. Next time you get a call from one of these vultures answer "NO" no matter what the question. They soon get tired and ring off.

no they dont annoy me any more because when they phone i say oh just a minute could you hold, they say ofcourse madam, you put the phone down get on with what you were doing go back a bit later and they are gone lol x works everytime x

I think I may have a good technique. Pretend to listen with great interest. Say 'ah' and 'yes' and 'mmm' every now and then but go about your business. Once they think you are hooked, tell them very sweetly, 'no, I don't believe I'm interested.' I once had an Orange saleswoman hang up on ME!

when they call just set your phone on the TV and leave it till they hang up. After a couple times they take your number out of the data base. You also should get on the do not call list.

i don't let them annoy me i hang up without saying anything, problem solved.
