What is the prorer way of answering the telepone calls when you're working in hotel? |
telephone etiquette I work in a hotel too. I answer the phone "Thank you for calling ____ this is ______ how may I direct your call? If it's after hours and I'm the only one there I say how may I help you? instead of how may I direct your call? "Good morning/afternoon/evening, thank you for calling the _______ Hotel,this is ______ speaking. How may I help you?" Good --morning--afternoon--or yes??? Hello, WTF do you want ?? Good Morning/afternoon/evening. U r calling Hotel_____. Sir/Madam How can I help u. If the person wants to speak to a guest then ask, May I know who is on the line and wherefrom.. Thereafter connect the person to the client and inform the client "Sir/Madam _______from_____is on the line and wants to speak to u. If the client agrees to speak then put the line thru otherwise tell the caller that the guest is not answering the call right now, kindly leave ur number and as soon as the guest is available u will call back. Say Good Day to u Sir/Madam (to the caller before putting down the phone). Say "HEllo, Four Seasons Hotel, Mary speaking. May I help you?" |
