Whats consider telephone harassment? And what to do to stop them.? |
We have this person that calls at my job asking for the owner, when the owner does answer, she hangs up on them. She used to call maybe once every few months, but lately shes been calling more regularly, sometimes up to 5 times a day. Alwasy just asks for the owner, we just tell her the owener isnt here and she hangs up. The other day the owenr happened to answer and she just said "oh you're there now" and hung up on her. The next day she calls again, and I pretend I am the owenr and she says "no its not, i can recognize the voice" and hangs up. I've contacted the police but they say since she is not saying anything threatening or harassing, they can not do much about it. They did inform me of how my phone company can trace calls. But its frustrating. This person is taking up our time. Contact your local phone company and ask them what to do about harassing calls. (I work for At&t and we have our own department that handles things like this.) telephone harrassment is when u tell someone not to call u agian and they proceed to do it over again..so all u need to do is prove it and thass how u take care of it put out a hit on her. mafia style. Get the phone company to trace the call, and threaten legal action. Then if it continues, hire a lawyer and sue. Get Caller ID, or alert your phone service. |
