What was your last telephone mishap...?

I answered the phone, forgetting that I have lost my voice ..(am sick)...

um, I lost my phone in a bar last week

I was on the phone to my boyfriend and i picked it up goen hi shexii and it was his dad!

it wasnt a mishap but i told a telemarketer i wasnt at home and we had been talking for 2 minutes!!!

My ex friend kept on calling me and then a second later, there was another phone call. I thougt it was my ex friend and I got angry so I picked up the phone and yelled "STOP CALLING MY HOUSE!!" Turns out it was my mom. He he he. That wasn't pretty.

I picked up the phone, and dropped it, in trying to recover before it hit the floor, I dialed 911 on speed dial.

Staggered into the house and in a vain attempt to appear sober, stood chatting to folks while stroking the cat,which was perched on the arm of a chair.Trouble was it wasn`t the cat it was the telephone(i was confused okay?) and i only realised when a deathly silence struck everyone as they watched me petting the phone.You did ask.....

i tried to call luna (773-202-5862)
but accidentally called 773-202-5872 and ended up calling somebody else

I split with my partner years ago..he left me for someone else, but she obviously still felt threatened and was constantly phoning my mobile, i was always very very polite though...........she always kept her number secret...

one day i had had enough and when the phone went again..i answered it with a WHY DONT YOU GO F~~K YOURSELF....then hung up.....they called back again 2 mins later to check they had the correct no...it was an employer i had been away to an interview for. she saw the funny side and i got the job.....never lets me forget it though!!

It's a long story, so let's just suffice to say it ended in a broken bathroom mirror, the phone in the dishwasher, some slightly singed curtains, and one dishevelled Kenny

I got a call from a number I didn't recognize, and stupidly answered it anyway.

"Hello?"
"Is Susan there?" (old lady's voice)
"You have the wrong number."
I hang up.

5 seconds later, re-ring.

"Hello?"
"Is Susan there?" (same old lady)
"You still have the wrong number, ma'am."
I hang up.

10 seconds later, re-ring

"Hello?"
"Is Susan there?" (same old lady, still oblivious)
"May I ask who's calling please?"
"This is her aunt."
"Just a moment, ma'am."

I put the phone on hold and count to 20, my wife asking me what's going on...I put a hand up to stall her, then pick up the phone.

"Ma'am? Susan's really angry right now, and doesn't want you calling anymore."
"Oh no, alright..."

My wife was IRKED.

Telephone mishaps are many, but the most memorable thing I ever did on the phone lives on in family lore---many of my family consists of pretty thourouughly buttoned-down poeple, but we DO have fun on April Fool's Day...

At about 1 or 2 in the morning my dear Mom and Dad get a phone call..."Father, Mother, I have been accepted into the love and fellowship of Reverand Moon...it is so wonderful, I have never felt such BELONGIING, and LOVE...and..."

My poor dear Mom was trying to muster a counterattack and telling me that this was a brainwashing cult and please, son, don't listen to these people when I heard me dear Dad's lower voice in the background, yes dear, what's that, hmm grr um...

"You little son of..." my mother's voice was cut off at this point, with the result being that I may never fully know my family tree.

I may post this as a funny story in jokes and riddles...
