Who discovery is dawn of the telephone? in which year? |
answer please. # The Bell System, a name and trademark formerly used by AT&T. Alexander Graham Bell, a Scots/Canadian/American invented a practical telephone in about 1878. Another man called Elisha Gray also had one in the works. Bell and Gray applied at the US Patent Office on the same day, but Bell's application was for a full patent, while Gray only asked for a caveat, which was a request to be warned if an application for a similar thing came in. Both Bell and Gray knew of each other. Some years earlier an Italian called Meuicci had also invented something very like a telephone but I do not know details. For some time metal xylophones with coils under the bars had been used to demonstrate transmission of sound by electricity. |
