Who can I report a suspected telephone scam to, and how do I do it?

I was rung today and the caller hung up as soon as I answered. I pressed 14713 to ring them back. It said that it was "glade kitchens", but I have never heard of them nevermind called them before. A quick web search yielded no results on a company with that name. I'm convinced that this is a scam to get me to ring a premium rate number and I'd like to report it. I'm in the UK.

I think you should contact your telephone service provider and report your concerns. They should be able to tell you whether it was in fact a premium number. Also, you've then alerted them in advance of your billing. Finally, if your suspicions are correct, the telephone company should be able to tell you how to lodge a complaint.

Call your local police on the non-emergency line. This way, they can look into it, and also warn others about the scam, before they are taken in by it.

look in your telephone book their may be a number for fraudulent phone calls or call a non emergnecy hotline.

Look in the website for your local government. When get to the police dept you should find an area to send them an email. Our police dept website has it broken down in many categories to pick.
