How can I find out who's calling my telephone when just the number displays without having to pay money?

I have caller i.d. and have tried reverse lookups but always get an answer that requires me to pay to find out who it really is...

Reverse lookup is free.

Use www.anywho.com

just google the actual number - sometimes that will work - the reverse lookups are free - but if they do not find a match - they try to sell you an additional service to locate it.

try typing it into google. then if you dont get anything dont bother if they dont leave a message it wasnt that important

Google the phone number. If it's a land line google will usually give you the address and name.

type in the number on google and it will bring up the name and address.

Reverse lookup is free at www.whitepages.com

what is the number? if you put it on here you might get more help.

Report it to the phone co. Let them find out who is making crank calls.

You could also press *69 to call back right after the mystery call and see who answers.

It's prob a cell phone that's why. What I would do is call the number from another phone and see who is answering. You may want to wait until early morning when you know they will not answer so the voicemail will pick up and they will say their name(most likely)

I have had good luck with www.whitepages.com Reverse look up feature. It does not work if the caller is calling from a cell or has an unlisted number. If you are really curious, call back and ask who it is. You can claim you dialed the wrong number if it is someone you did not want to speak to. Block your number before dialing and they will not know it is you.

www.switchboard.com - http://www.switchboard.com/bin/cgirlooku...

This is a free feature on cell phones and most telephone companies offer caller ID for free or almost nothing!!

try googles and if nothing comes up it's not importance due to the fact if they can't display there name and state why they are calling:

Try *69 it will call the person back and then you will find out who it is..If they are calling you late at night.. call them back at about 3 am and ask them what they want and why they are calling you..
this will get your answer and will most likely stop the calls if you don't want them calling..
