Someone gets angry with you takes it out on your entire family? Never admits their wrong!!!?

Sister-in-law gets angry at me and takes it out on not only my whole family but her whole family!!!!! She will not answer her telephone...avoid you at church....cancel family gatherings..lie and say she is going out of town..
We had a family meeting about the situations...but she says we do not care about her...I think we should tell her the truth about her behavior even if it hurts her...we love her but she never admits her wrong...She was recently divorced but she says she is not lonely but I think that she is. My husband,her brother has given up on her but I know that prayer changes things...I think if enough people tell herthe truth it might help but I do not want her to feel like we are picking on her....but telling someone the truth about them selves will help in the long run..right????

I agree...there are some definite emotional problems that will probably require professional help or medication. One of my brothers was the same way...a rageaholic...couldn't control his temper...we just had to back away and distance ourselves till he got tired of being lonely and started to try to change.

It sounds like your sister-in-law has emotional problems. Which none of you can fix. Unless she speaks to someone professional, she will never change her ways.

i don't think there's anything wrong in telling her but instead of blaming her why not start out by telling her how she is hurting herself and the rest of the family. when you present someone with a very strong negative about themselves they are going to come out fighting - it's their defense mechanism. it's natural. by her saying you DO NOT CARE about her, she is shouting out for help. so, just be tactful on what you say and do it with kindness rather than blame. i'd also look at myself, is there ANY reason that she may have anger with you? think of all these things before you start opening up. good luck. hope it all works out.

my sister inlaw is the same way i just don,t let that get to me plus we all know that she needs to get help i try not to say anything that will make her mad at me i just go see my bro when she is not there
