Black People: why do alot of you do you think white people are so corny?

Country music,Heavy metal,Elvis,NASCAR,Mashed potatoes every night,the way we dance and the way we answer the telephone and our voice the way we talk,Vacations to Iowa and Montana,ect I watch comicview and you always make fun of white people.Are we really that corny and off-beat to you? You say we are always on time and walk funny. We are all different

Okay why are you generalizing? Not ALL black people think or behave any certain way. Why do you care what anyone thinks about you? Do you think your corny? Hell I have family member who live for NASCAR so it's not a white thing. I don't even watch comicview or BETnot since like 1999, it's gotten to be to ignorant & disrespectful and does not show black people in a positive light. Probaby because that's when VIACOM brought it (the people who own MTV & VH1). I'm always on time or early that is not a black thing, hell a lot of people black and white say I talk funny (I live in the south now I'm from NYC). Yes we are all different so what's your point?

Well, Im white and I think it could be things like this question that make us look racist too. You see, you make a judgement like this on a whole group of people who are different than you, and then they turn around and do the same. Its things like this question that alows ignorance to continue to grow in this country. I realize that you are asking an honest question, but also please realize that because maybe a few black people have said things like this, it does not cover the entire race. Good luck hun, you are not going to get all good answers to this question.

my mom is obessed with Elvis. She loves him. She has my sister and i watching his movies and stuff. And my mother loves mash potatoes. (i love white rice). I sometimes watch the country music channel. I speak regular english and answer the phone? I go to abercrombie & fitch and American Eagle. I listen to rock, alternative, and indie.

Isn't that normal? I don't think anyone is corny. I think you're the one who thinks people are corny. You're insulting my family. How rude!

don't take it so seriously. Every culture cracks on a different culture. I'm Dominican and i crack on Puerto Ricans and vice-versa. My Jewish friend cracks on my Filipino friend and we just laugh. we don't mean it, it's just bustin balls.

It's just a comic's way of getting the audience to like him. Find something he can crack on that the audience thinks is funny too.

Also, for the record, i've never met anyone who DOESN'T like fried chicken and watermelon, yet people automatically think "Oh he's got that? he must be Black!" it's just a way to either harmlessly have fun, or subconciously (and maliciously) justify one culture is superior.

Hun comic view talks about ALL races, not just white ... you're not paying attention, we can see, and the things you named IE: country music, nascar, mash potatoes (not everything tho), ETC heck we're into things like that, OK the Elvis kick, no.
Hun have you seen other comedy shows (white shows), maybe you need to see them, and don't target just our black comics.
Yes indeed sometimes we do speak on the different places/types of vacation spots, but Iowa ... that's where my husbands from and I talk about Iowa to him, not behind his back. It's not a race thing ... it's a preference thing ~wink~
