Am I really never going to hear from him again?

It has been two weeks since I've heard from a guy I met last month. We had two amazingly wonderful dates (romantic but no sex) and kept in constant communication for the next 10 days by phone and text. We seemed to hit it off. Made each other laugh, talked easily about everything, and there was a mutual attraction/affection for each other. Then suddenly, he stopped contacting me, except to answer by telephone a "Happy Birthday" text I sent two weeks ago, during which he said "Can I call you later?", but never has. That was the second time he said he would call but never did. The next day I sent a nicely worded text saying that I'm not mad or anything, but I would appreciate it if he would call when he says he will. No response. One week later, I left a very sweet friendly voicemail saying hello, would love to catch up with you, but he's never returned my call. Clearly, he's avoiding me for some reason. Why? And am I really never going to hear from him again? This is pure agony. Help

Is this socially acceptable behavior on his part? I have a right to be upset, right?

maybe he just got scared about his feelings for you. the best thing I can say to do is send a nice message saying you hope the best for him and that if he ever needs you that you are just a phone call away. but dont call him or text him anymore after that. I hope it will work out the way you want. best of luck!!
