How much to you think I should get paid at work?

Hey I thought this could be quite interesting to ask and as I have my annual review coming up in work, I wanted to get an idea of what others think.

Ok, how much do you think I should get paid?

I'm 18, and I'm an Office Junior, full time
I work for a well established small Public Relations company,
I'm 2nd to answer the telephone
I do general admin,
I help on-site at events to set up
I create myspace profiles for our clients to help boost their campaigns,
I update the company website,
I created the company's secondary website (which was my idea) which is used to send clients their monthly reports and also used for many storage and file transfer purposes, i also manage it.
I manage the filling systems,
I also help sell in articles to the newspapers regarding just a few of our clients,
I manage guestlists for the events we work on,
I create most of the presentations which are used at client meetings,
Plus many other ad-hoc duties.

Just want an idea of what other people think of that?

also i tend to work late most nights...

The knack of negotiating salary increases is to make yourself of great 'value' to your employer. You appear to undertake a lot of the I.T. roles and yet you are an office junior. You need to put together a portfolio of all the successes that have come out of you doing the IT work - how successful was the web site you created etc., have you received positive come-backs from your company's clients you could use? You need to go into your review with some ideas of what you want to do in the future for your company (something that would be of benefit to them), and you need to state what extra training you need in order to be able to take that idea forward (could they send you on day release for more IT skills), do you deal with overseas clients (could you have day release to learn a foreign language to deal with these clients?). All of this makes your company realise you intend taking your career forward with them. You don't say what you are earning at present - but I would assume a salary of around 14-15K at present (with expenses incurred at events etc that you go to). I would be asking for an increase of salary in the range of 1K more than you are earning at present.

Now it all depends on how old you are and where your office is based, Now going off the information you have given and presuming you work full-time, I would think you should be on a salary approx 14500 - 15500 (outside London area)

I bet you sit around drinking coffee all day.I work hard in a factory.I think at your age you should be on 100 quid a week and giving your mum 50 of that!

I recon around 拢7 an hour, as basically, your admin support, and thats the average wage admin support staff get!

I see the age "18" and the word "junior" and think that for full-time work i'd expect maybe 拢12-15k per year?

Its not a professional position and i'm presuming you have no or very little experience.

I know people in non-professional positions that have several years experience who are on like 拢18k.

You've got to bear in mind that to them they are not just giving you money, they are training you also.

It depends on where you live. For example, if you live in an area where jobs like that are in demand then you might be able to get more.

did not say what country or state, but it sounds like your doing common office task, based on you age and experience I'd pay no more that 6 or 7 US dollars an hour.

With all those qualifications you need to go back to school so that you may earn very good money. you are young take advantage of youth, work full-time during the day and go to school at night. you seem to have great potential. Easy 30k in US.

check the job centre website for office junior jobs in Glasgow and it will be the minimum wage - in fact I daily check the Glasgow job centres and the is not much above the minimum wage for admin staff and I am middle age with qualifications.

That's a lot of duties. I would say roughly 3000 a month.
