When a Yahoo e-mail account holder suddenly dies, how can family members inform Yahoo of the person's death? |
FYI: I tried Yahoo's help section and there is no information. Also called their office in Santa Clara but no employee could answer the telephone. You did the correct thing by trying to inform Yahoo. But as they have not responded then if you know the password open the account and then go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_use... link and delete the account. If you do not know then the account will remain unused and after may be 30 days or so the account will automatically be deleted. Why would you need to inform them? If you know the password just close the account, if you dont know the password, the account will automatically go away if its not used within 30 days i think. |
