Has anyone ever tried to? |
answer the telephone with the TV remote? I just did and felt so foolish even though there was no one else here to see it. I'm wondering if that might be an indication of some old-timer's disease. Must be careful to keep this from my children or they might begin planning my special Sunday Afternoon Drive. I do things like that all the time. Thank goodness you weren't ironing! No, you were probably not just thinking. Or getting a little clumsy and uncoordinated...like my dad. haha. i won't tell. hahahahahahaha, I did that once, felt so foolish..... LOL....no, I've not done that yet but I have a feeling my day is coming soon! LOL haha yes I have. I have done that. My sister lives on a ranch and drives a little golf-cart back and forth to the barn. We were all going somewhere....she's running late and finally got ready and instead of getting in her car she got into the golf cart!!! Did she ever get embarrassed!! Ihave done worse believe me ,in fact what I did was going to be my next question lol. Yes, I've done that. We also had a device while I was working which looked a lot like another one & I caught myself doing that, too. No, but I have tried to change the channel on the TV with the telephone. Is that as bad as looking for your glasses when you have them on your head, or looking for your cell phone by calling it with your other cell phone because you have no idea where it is and turns out it is in your back pocket. LOL been there. i do that all the time okay ive only done it twice but still its a common mistake i once took a piece of french toast and dipped it in my orange juice instead of the syrup like i intended but that was pobobally just because i was reall really tired You're find. Wait until you get in the car and drive to the mall and when you get there you wonder why you came there.^_^ That, and worse... i left the house in a hurry once and took the TV remote thinking that it was my cell phone and when i went ti use my cell i noticed that it was the remote for the TV.i did feel kinda dumb for a mins don't worry about it. Put my cell phone in the fridge one time. Couldn't figure out why the boys hadn't called. Just got in a hurry. It's OK. I think you need a hug. ummmmmmmmmm Thats a lot safer than answering the phone whilst ironing! No, not yet. What happened to you was just an "accident". It was some kind of a reflex, grabbing the first thing that was near you or, maybe you were already holding the remote and without thinking, placed it on your ear thinking it was the telephone. Were you watching the telly at that time? Oh well, it's not Alzheimer's for certain. Haven't done that, but every time I watch Law and Order and there's a scene in the precinct, I think my phone is ringing. sorry to say I have not done that before......but have done other crazy things without realizing it.......I put sugar on food thinking I had the salt......... I've done that too. Also, when I was working I had an adding machine as well as a telephone on my desk and I can't tell you how many times that I would try dialing the telephone which haven't done that yet, but hope that I am alone too when it happens..... or might kids might plan that Sunday afternoon drive too! yes....and i try to change the channelwiht the tlephone. i have lol I tried to answer the office phone with the stapler Nope, but I've sat at a four way stop sign waiting for it to turn green and tried to use my drivers licence in the debit card machine, and got mad when it didn't work. No, but I tried to change the channels with the phone! That doesn't work either, lol! I once sat down to eat a bowl of cold cereal. Then poured milk into the sugar bowl - oops, wrong bowl. But wait a minute, I was only fifteen years old at the time. My Dad couldn't figure out what the 'H E double-ell' I was doing, and neither could I. If you mean, you answered the remote, thinking it was the phone, you could be excused for that, because phones are made in all shapes and sizes. Not yet.But I have called my own phone number and gotten mad because the line was busy.Just call it mental pause and leave it at that. |
