Secret hampster death?

my friend let me keep his hampster for the weekend but i have a big problem now.i was watching the show called hamtaro with the cartoon hamsters riding their dog's back so i tried it with my friend's hampter and my dog. i let my dog walk around with the hampster crawling on his back because it looked funny and fun to the hamster, the telephone rang so i went to answer. after i came back i saw my dog and he was chewing the second half of the hampster. i was horrified. my friend has not come to get his hampster yet and i dont know what to tell him. my dog is too sweet for such a horrible action. why would he do this? he's so sweet my mom named him sweety, but sweety ate scruffy the hampster!

You have to call your friend about eh hamseter. Its really sad but he should have known that you had a dog. Im really sorry, its going to be hard to do that. Its always hard to tell a friend, somthign that will hurt them. Maybe dont tell him your dog devored it, maybe that he was just in the cage, dead. THe dog is going to make you look bad

You need to tell your friend the dog killed it & never put any other animals around the dog. He probably thought the hamster was a toy thats why he did that.

yes, some dogs can be the sweetest animals in the world, but they see something fuzzy and squeaky and think it's a toy. You definately need to tell your friend what happened, but maybe offer to replace the hamster. I know your friend was probably attached to the hamster, but maybe a new hamster will help them feel better. Good luck!

the best thing to do is tell your friend the truth...and never ever ever trust dogs...i am a total dog lover but boy let me tell ya the turn so fast its crazy...do not leave anything you dont want killed..maimed...destroyed...chewed...li... or bitten alone with a dog EVER !

And B) tell your friend what happened, and offer to get her/him a new hamster. And never do this kinda thing again of course a dog would eat it it looks like a rat or something

What a stupid and cruel thing to do. Why didn't you pick up the hamster and take it with you when you answered the phone? How OLD are you anyway? So let the damn phone ring! Your mother or someone else in the house can answer it.

Don't blame the dog; YOU are the one responsible! You now need to contact your friend and tell the truth. It's the right thing to do, the responsible thing to do, and part of good character and ethical behavior. Don't be surprised if you've permanently lost your friend. I don't blame him! That would end any relationship I had with someone also! That poor hamster; the horror and pain he went through in his final agonies of life. I hope you've learned something from this as you will have to live with it for the rest of your life.

it's a dog. why are you suprised it ate the hamster? and no. he did NOT think the hamster was a toy. to him, it's food. it's instinct.

tell your friend the TRUTH. don't make up some stupid lie so they wont hate you or whatever. if they decide to continue being your friend, at least they'll know never to ask you to "watch" their pets again.
