Why do such stupid things get me upset?

The stupidest things get me upset, as late afternoon I called my girlfriend but she let me go shot because she was eating KFC and playing games with her brother, not a problem so I waited to have her call me, so it came to be 11:00 no one answered the cell phone ( it is her brothers) called again at 11:20,and 11:30 still no answering so I gave up.. but it made me upset, they usually always answer the phone and dont sleep until 1 AM. So I wondered if her brother ignored my telephone calls, I know my girlfriend does not like talking to me on the phone with her brother's cell because he is always nosey. Right now its the only way she can call me unfortunately. But why do I get so upset. Insecure, Pesimisstic and almost jealous? We've been together for 3 years. So what is my problem? I have had other gfs cheat on me but I know shes not like that, but how do I get out of this attitude towards everything?

I even get jealous if a guy is overly nice to her, For 2 months we even had an open relationship to see how it would go, and neither of us saw other people and just last week she said she loves me too much to be in an open relationship. I was glad. Before it was open because she wanted to see what it was like to be with other people before being tied down, but in the end she changed her mind. But Im so insecure with myself I told her it was OK if it remained open and she told me " what did I tell you.." I think all my past relationships really haunt the way I behave and I hate it.

I'll be the fact that you have been cheated on before that is causing you to feel like this. i can certainly understand that bt with each relationship you get into you cant taint your new girl with the same brush. The fact that she wanted an open relationship would have made it even worse for you and i think she was insensitive there.

I used to get myself really worked up but i learned that if i put alittle trust in someone they werent all A*sholes and i respect and trust in return.

Because you wouldn't do that to her, that's what is bugging you and I don't blame you. So she is eating big deal I much rather talk to my loved one. She could always warm it up if it gets cold.....Your not being over dramatic, you have a right to feel bad that chicken and brother come first. Don't be there for her every minute and see how she likes it. She is tooooo sure of you. Sorry to tell you that. Your a good guy, do you need this? No you don't have a problem, she does. She is being rude to you. That does not fly!

well this really cares for you. i mean dont let your past haunt you an ruin a really goo relationship. your going to push her away. your girlfiend is not your exs so let it go an let them go. jealous is only hurting you.

dude change your attitude and stop acting like you r, shes probably not being open with because of your attitude, try relaxing and not thinking about anything for a few days and see how it goes

If your girlfriend has to depend on her brothers to talk to you on their telephones, she needs to seek independence from them. The only way you can help that situation if to help her find a job to support herself or marry her and support her yourself. An "open relationship" between a male and a female is a free-for-all. It is a non-relationship. If you have been 3 years undecided about each other, and she is not returning your calls, maybe it is finally, over. One-sided relationships in which one partner does all of the calling never succeed.

it's basically as you stated..a bit of insecurity, jealousy and the brother might be hogging or even hiding the phone...who really knows?...it could be anything that she didn't call you back. she might have even been tired + fell asleep. don't question her about it and just dont concern yourself about these type things if she still likes you the same as always and still acts the same towards you too. she may even tell you what happened that she didn't get back with you. If you really need to know, just ask so what happened lst night, did your brother hide the phone? maybe something like that. don't direct the question at her directly like it was anything she did. You def don't want to act like an insecure wussy boy to her and dont ever say ILY or tell her how you "feel" about her. It will be the death of the relationship. If she ever says ILY,say "I know" and keep it at that. It will always keep her on her toes and guessing Don't call so late from now on..this will help also bc she knows how to call you if it's that late. Just say call me later if you want up till --- --"oclock..and if she doesnt then you'll see her later..this will relieve some of the stress and insecurities and all hopefully..and always rem, you don't own or control other people and thier choices in life much like they dont own or control you and make your choices ..cool?
