Problems Communicating with my ex about the children - does anyone know good tracking software?

My ex and I are on our 3rd court order based on her inability to communicate appropriately, denying access etc..anyway our CO states that all communication about the children is to be by emails not telephone as she was harassing me.

I have been sending her emails about the kids and lately she has not been answering them. On the weekend when I picked up the kids she said her email wasn't working and neither was her phone. ??? I know darn well it is working and it's just more of her games but I need to be able to prove she is getting them. Does anyone know of tracking software I can get to get read reciepts without her knowing I am tracking them. I am seeing a lawyer next week to start another contempt motion against her so I need to be able to prove she is lying. She is also in contempt by not informing me of anything that is going on with the kids yet I know in court she'll try to use - my email was broken, or not working.

Outlook only provides read verification if the recipient ok's it - I need something that she doesn't have to reply to and doesn't know I am using.

Tell the court that she didn't answer your emails. The court won't stand for a complete lack of communication by her, email "broken" or not. The court will probably order a new method of communication. It might include a third person that you both trust as a go-between, or a court appointed person that you contact.
Sorry I can't help with the tracking of email, but I am sure that if the email doesn't bounce back at you, the email address is working. Call someone like "geek squad" and they will be able to help you on the tracking issue, if there is a way to track what happens on the other end. (I'm thinking not because it is probably illegal.)
Is there any possibility the two of you can handle your communication in a more mature manner? In the end it will only hurt the kids....

I know Outlook gives you a reply email notification when your email is opened.

Actually.. you can't make the read receipts work with out cooperation from her email program. Keep in mind that if needed, your attorney can supena (sp?) her internet service provider for their email delivery records. However, all this would prove is that someone or something (email program) took the messages off their server but that doesn't prove she saw/read them. The ISP should also be able to provide the IP address of the system that 'took the messages' which may help provide evidence that her system took the messages.

However, as a divorced Dad, here's my recommendation. Stop farting around with the communication thing... just take her back to court for full custody. Obviously she isn't doing things the way the court says she should and if you can provide a better and more stable environment for the kids then you'll have an excellant chance of getting what you want. This may also be the very wake up call she needs to understand that she either 'tows the line' or she'll look custody. If she's anything like my ex-wife it's not the kids she really wants custody of.. it's the child support payments.

You can communicate through the web service and post messages about things you want your ex to know about. Its reasonable and if your ex was willing to work with you and the program, it may be a life-saver.
