Refund not yet recieved from mtnl?

i had surrendered my telephone no. 26609084 in march 2006 but till now i have not recieved my deposit back (Rs.3000/-) i have misplaced my deposit receipt but however i managed to find the workorder issued to me by khar telephone exchange, in that workorder it is clearly mentioned the deposit receipt no.and amount. I had requested khar telephone exchanged by giving in writing but then to no answer.

You may approach the District consumer forum for this. But first you are required to send MTNL a notice demanding the refund. If after receiving the notice nothing happens from MTNL's side then you may approach the appropriate district consumer forum and lodge your complaint. You can fight your own case as no lawyer is mandatory there.
