I am having a problem with my friend and religion... please take the time to read all of it and try to help me

Okay, my best friend is a different religion than me, and i stayed the night @ her house on a saturday and they said they were doing a bible study. So i thought okay, this is alright... then once we started reading, i relized it was the total opposite religion as me!!! So now, her mom keeps asking me if i am gunna still study with them, but im not their religion, and its a real uncomfortable situation. So i have absolutely no idea what to do! THEY THINK I AM THEIR RELIGION!!! i really dont know what to do!! But i think its too late now to tell this. Can anyone tell me like physicly what to say the my friend? Or are there any pastors out there that can give me some advice? I just got off the telephone trying to get ahold of my friend and her mom answered and asked me if i was still gunna study with them. and i keep having to make up excuses to avoid going to their church and practicing a different religion than what i really am.when i wanna do something w/ her, i get asked 2 study.

i can kinda relate to what your going thru even though ive never been in this situation before. what i think you should do is go to her and just say that you cant study with her because you are a dif. religion. say it to her nicely.not all stuck up.tell her no disrespect but its your religion and you would like to follow.even though you have dif. religions and cant study with her family yall can still be friends.

Dude who the hell cares man. Let em study and in the mean time you can learn about someone elses religion, which doesnt have to mean you WANT to be apart of the religion itself, gathering information is key >:)
But seriously, stop getting worked up. Study with them and learn a thing or two from other religions, if you dont want to do it, dont beat around the bush. "Sorry, too uncomfortable for me. I dont share your religious beleifs"

It might help if you explain what religion you are, unless you follow a polytheistic religion or are an atheist, you really are not the opposite of theirs.
You need to explain to your friend what religion you follow and note that if you stay over on their bible study night you are more than happy to sit by and watch or even participate, but that you will not come over just for bible study because you do not follow that religion.

Just tell her how much you like having her as your friend, and tell her you want to keep being her friend, but just tell her that her religion isn't part of you, and you'd like to keep your religion, I'm sure she'll still respect you and be your friend, and if she doesn't, then she isn't a true friend. I think your mom should get on the phone with your friend's mom and politely explain that your religion is different and the bible study is not something you are comfortable participating in. (she doesn't have to be specific about your religion because it is really not any of their business). Honesty is usually the best way to go, but I don't think it is up to you to have to explain this to the mother, who obviously is pressuring you to participate. I think this would be a matter for your mom or dad to address with your friend's mom.

Tell your friend (and her Mom if she asks you again about Bible Study) ... Tell them that you are glad that you had the chance to participate in their family Bible Study ... Say that
it gave you an opportunity to learn about their faith and the
way that their family worships and practicing their faith.

Then you go on to explain that you and your family have a
different faith. Ask or invite your friend and her Mom to
visit your church or Bible Study one day.

Let them know that while you enjoying learning about THEIR
faith ... that you are ALREADY committed to YOUR OWN
faith. (You might also think about having one of your parents
give your friend's Mom a call ... Many parents do not mind if
their children learn about other religions ... and even be friends ... But your parents can make it clear that you will
NOT be converting to their religion) Your friend AND her Mom SHOULD respect that you didn't mind participating as
a "one-time" event ... But that you do NOT choose to convert
to their religion.

I definitely know what you mean and I've been to that situation when I was in school high but listen here. It depends what they believe in as for me I believe in Jesus Christ is Lord our savior! So in my aspect, I don't trust in man made idols myself but got love for them as well therefore its not good to judge. Just find it in your heart thats giving that spiritful feeding also that annoiting from god. What do they believe in and also compare which makes you get closer to god. You will know the answer and tell your friend about it but mostly ask god about which is the truth (he will hear you). Then you will know the difference!
