Short term break up what should i do before we meet and when we meet?

Me and my girlfriend are from different background,she is asian i am from lebanon,first we met we had a beautifull relation after 6 months we started to fight and querel over nothing,one of us wants to change the other ,to impose his or her view of reality,she demand things of me that make no sense at all , and i do the same .sometimes in the silence of our hearts ,we say to ourselves "how good it would be to be free,to have no commitments"recently we had stupid fight over stupid subject,and we sat down we talked what is going on , till when we can handle this,i tried to take from her info to c if she come up with a solution bcs we tried a lot of things but it didnt work,she didn't know what to answer,the end was a short term BREAK UP , for 10 days no telephone , sms,email,.....i feel down,need to cry but i can not,she is under depression,she is anxious and i feel bad about her,i dont know if we can come back together but i wish, if we will not the same way we use to deal.

I thing before you get back together you both need to really discuss your relationship and your goals. Maybe both of you see a counselor to help work out the problems of control. Most fights are over stupid things and not what the real problems are. The biggest thing to remember is you can not change another person, you can only change yourself.

Well, if both of you miss eachother, apparently you two do love eachother.
You'll have to get some sort of counseling. A relationship is about compromising and the two of you have to learn to listen to one another instead of only wanting what each of you want.
The two of you come from different backgrounds and may have different beliefs but you can work with that to educate one another so much better. Instead of arguing with what you have, you two need to work with what you have.
A short break is a great start to strengthening your relationship. Work on talking with her about insecurities, plans, and the future.

I also fight with my girlfriend over stupid things. It happens to everyone. You need to grow up. That's what I told myself. and I learnt to overlook certain things sometimes. We havent had a fight in a while, and i think we are both going along fine. I dont feel like there is one waiting to come up.
I know its hard and you dont want to fight all the time, but it happens. I hope you grow out of it and have a happy relationship. But I cannot say much since i suffer from the same problem!!
