Would your cat call 911 to save your life?

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police aren't sure how else to explain it. But when an officer walked into an apartment Thursday night to answer a 911 call, an orange-and-tan striped cat was lying by a telephone on the living room floor. The cat's owner, Gary Rosheisen, was on the ground near his bed having fallen out of his wheelchair.

Are you kidding me?? My cats would relish in the fact that I couldn't move! I can see them now.. running on kitchen counters- eating off of the dishes in the sink! Exploring diningroom tables and such. I bet they both know how to call for help, but would play innocent and "kitty-like". Cats are scheming varmin, but lord knows I luv 'em.

I think he would if he knew how. But I don't think he does. And he can't reach the phone, anyway.

I highly doubt it. I have two cats that I love dearly, but I know that they are just waiting for me to croak so they will be free and can eat for weeks....JK

stranger things have happened, depends if they were trained or not, or maybe watched those pet rescue shows......

I know my cat couldn't, She would have to be able to get my cell open that would be hard for her:-) Then the small numbers would be very hard. No she wouldn't.

Yes i do becouse on the news the other night they hade a great story about a gray sripid cat that called 911 for the dude that could not get to the phone and the cat saved his life....

My cat wouldn't just call 911, he would administer mouth to mouth recesetation, he would check my vital signs and make sure I am stable. He would drag me into our station wagon and drive me to the hospital, that's because my cat loves me, if your cat wouldn't do those things for you, you need to examine your relationship and see where it's going.

My cat wouldn't notice because she would be asleep.

yeah right...my cat would be too busy grooming herself,she's so vain she eats a liitle bit then runs around the house to burn off the calories, if you touch her she'll start licking off the part that you touch...so no she wouldn't
