That's silly... I'd tell my friend to grab the clothes,I'd pick up the baby and shut off the water,, and,let the damn phone ring,

I got the baby first, grabbed the phone (cordless), took it with me (baby on hip) to the door, said hang on a sec to person at the door, ran and turned the tap off. Said "screw the clothes. It's just an added rinse."
