I received n email from UK NATIONAL LOTTERY and I replygiving my name, adress and phone they can do something?

The scam organization can do anything with the information of my name, adress, date of bith and telephone number?? I send an email replying the famous email of the uk national lottery...please answer

You should have checked the scam database online to see if their name was given. You can also cross reference the phone number they have or the email address and it will usually show as a scam. Why would a lottery in the UK give you money for doing absolutely nothing?

dont ,who knows what kind of person is on the other end getting your personal info!

They will store the information... they will try to get you to send them money.... then if it doesn't work they will stop, but they will keep your information... after a while they will try to pull another scam on you and give the information to their associates who will also try to scam you under a different name, email address etc... by then you would have forgotten about the lottery scam and you seem gullible so are likely to fall for another scam....

If you know it is a scam not sure why you are asking the question and by the way you can be fined for giving someone else details.

Yes they can use details to commit identity fraud.

yes they can haraas the heck out of you...and since you gave them alot of personall info they will make accounts with your name and and run up credit card bills and you will be paying the bills

You didn't send them any money or credit card info or bank info, right? In any event I would keep an eye on my credit report, perhaps even pay for a credit watch company (I do!), and you might even want to change all of your passwords - just to be on the safe side.

I say if you didnt enter a contest then its a scam. Why would you give out your personal information like that?? Use your head nothing is ever free!

I received that e-mail, it was spam, why did you reply to it? Never mind, with just those details it's unlikely that they can do a lot, but there's a chance that they will contact you further using your details to make the contact seem authentic. So they could ring you and pretend to be ringing from a bank, with your details, or something like that. Or they could theoretically use your details to try to commit some kind of identity fraud. I had something similar from Paypal, a spoof e-mail, and they got the same kind of details from me. Nothing ever came of it, and Paypal said not to worry. So just be careful who you talk to and who you e-mail in future and keep your fingers crossed. Whatever you do don't give them any more details.

I had the same email and filed it in my bin, what possessed you to answer an obvious scam, they will hound with other scams now.

i had one of those too i never opened it as i never gave details to national lottery of email or anything just a scam i think . be careful opening them as they could contain a virus

never give any details to any mail. its scam and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

dont even think of replying, never even open these emails up now they know your email address is active and you will be unindated with even more spam.
